-45 °C in the morning makes you fresh and more fresh every second.
In order to test the equipment again and to take some pictures for another work, we decided to go to the DIMA- home, the Perma Frost Institute, but we had bad luck. Although we called before, they told us after our arrival at the front door, that the responsible person is in holiday today. What a mess, a bit confused, disappointed we desided to walk some bus stops. In the morning somehow we decided to wear one layer more, because everybody was scaring us. "-45°C, don't go out" - now we were dressed to warm, so it was a right time to go for a walk a bit.
I checked my sound-equipment and found out that even if the display fom the recorder is showing nothing anymore because of cold, the sound was still recorded. A bit randomized but it worked.
Tomorrow at 9am we'll be picked up by Artur, who will bring us to Oymyakon, so we'll arrive there at the late night or at the 11th in the morning at -51°C. Ice-Whispering needs -50 so I hope we can get it a bit colder then. We'll probably won't have any internet there, so be continued to the 18th of January. Frost greetings from Yakutsk
